Brought to Sandy Park in 2008 from the Cornish Pirates, Dungannon-born playmaker Gareth Steenson is well and truly part of the folklore of Exeter Rugby Club having been at the forefront of Exeter’s rise out of the Championship and their subsequent rise to Premiership and European champions. Having settled quickly into life in Devon in those early days, the years that followed saw Steenson establish himself as one of the deadliest goalkickers not just in England, but in Europe. Join Gareth and Michael for an evening of sporting anecdotes and rugby tales uniquely paired with Michael’s famed cuisine.

The evening is in aid of the Exeter Chiefs Foundation, a fundraising organisation committed to improving the prosperity of the communities they serve by incorporating sport and donations in their work to enrich people’s lives. It exists with a key aim of helping other charities. Numbers are extremely limited, so book now to secure your place at this prestigious evening.

All money raised by Exeter Chiefs Foundation is donated to worthy causes in and around the city of Exeter with a focus on supporting ‘tangible’ investments. Since its creation, the projects the Foundation has supported have included funding building and renovation works, the installation of play equipment, IT suites, and donating a range of vehicles – from minibuses to boats, from community kitchen hubs to specialised access equipment.

Founded in 2011 by Exeter Rugby Club’s Chairman, Tony Rowe CBE, the team of trustees was drawn from the Exeter Chiefs board of directors and the local business community. As well as deciding on how the charity’s money is shared, the trustees organise several fundraising events each year to add to the funds generated by the wider foundation from which people and projects can apply for grants.

All charities, community groups and organisations in the greater Exeter area can apply for funds – either as a matchday charity or as one-off donations through the Foundation’s grant programme.

The Foundation to date has raised close to £3million and helped over 150 projects, charities, and organisations.
