Busy Christmas for the Lord Mayor

Exeter’s Lord Mayor’s Diary is set to be busy with fundraising events for the Exeter Foundation over the Christmas period.

The Lord Mayor, Olwen Foggin, chose the Exeter Foundation as her chosen charity to fundraise for during her tenure as mayor.

The first festive event will take place on 1st December, when a Charity Quiz night will be held at The Railway Club, Chaucer Grove. The quiz will begin at 7.30pm, with entry costing just £3.

Less than a week later, the Lord Mayor of Exeter and Dean and Chapter of Exeter Cathedral will be holding a Christmas Carol Service at Exeter Cathedral. The service, which takes place on the 7th December, will begin at 2.00pm and will feature the City of Exeter Railway Band, the Exeter Police & Community Choir and the Maynard Middle School Choir.

Tickets for the Christmas Carol Service are available from the Guildhall, The Lord Mayor’s Office and Exeter Visitor Information and Tickets and cost £2.50.

On December 10th, late night shoppers in Exeter will be able to visit the Guildhall for some mulled wine, mince pies and cake. The Lord Mayor will also be joined by Big Chief and the Exeter Chiefs' Community team.

The Lord Mayor will be hosting several more events in 2016 in aid of the Exeter Foundation - follow @LordMayorExeter on Twitter for more information.
