Bruce is currently the Managing Director of FT Group, a financial services company that he set up in 1991. With many years experience in the industry, Bruce now mainly provides specialist advice in Corporate and Venture finance, Tax Planning and on pensions technical matters as well as providing expert advice to the Courts on a variety of financial matters.
Finance was not Bruce’s initial planned career course, a short teaching career after leaving university saw Bruce to change tack entirely and enter a career in finance in 1985. Initially trained by Hays Allan Chartered Accountants, he shortly became a shareholding director of one of their subsidiary companies.
As a local businessman, Bruce joined the foundation as a Trustee to ensure that the people in the area, whether residents or local businesses, take pride in the City of Exeter and the surrounding areas and support it’s Organisations and Charities to serve the area in the best way possible.
