Another 'Fantastic' trip for the Exeter Chiefs Cycle Club

David Cosford hailed another “fantastic” trip for the Exeter Chiefs Cycle Club after they completed their journey from Sandy Park to the Kingspan Stadium in time for last weekend’s European Champions Cup clash with Ulster Rugby.

Building on the success of their inaugural trip to Bordeaux back in January, which helped to raise over £20,000 for the Exeter Foundation, the 16-strong group were again in fine spirits as they made their way through the streets of Belfast for the closing part of their 400-mile plus trip.

Arriving at the ground just after 5pm, there were not only members of the Travelling Tribe in attendance, but also a handful of Chiefs players and staff, as well as Ulster supporters.

“We had another fantastic trip,” said organiser David. “Thankfully the weather was much nicer than the French trip, but the cycling proved just as tough with some big hills in Wales and a couple of long days in the saddle.

“Again, though, the support of everyone has been outstanding and it was great to have Ulster supporters join us for the final leg into the stadium.

“Hopefully, when we total up all the money at the end we will be able to have another big sum to hand over to the Foundation.”
